Day one on trying to get my health and fitness back on track.
Chronic pain is the worst, its something I've been dealing with for years but has kicked my arse again good and proper.
I haven't had the energy to do much of anything the last almost 5 months. Soooo with the trialing new medications and a chronic pain team I'm doing what I can (which is less then I'd like but its more then nothing)
I didn't have much energy today, actually I'm so bloody tired but my pain was low enough that I decided to go on a 5km run/walk.
I ran some, walked some. I wasn't timing myself or trying to push too hard. I just wanted to get the ks in, so that's what I did.
Am I disappointed I had to walk some of it... yes absolutely but I have to go with my body and pain levels right now. So I'm bloody stoked I did it despite being cooked lol I will get back to running my 8ks without walking, but I just have to build it slowly.
Everyone has to start again at some point thats how we grow. Thats how we learn patience. Thats how we learn empathy.
Don't make fun of someone whos trying to better themselves or giving something a go.
You don't know their story or how hard it is just getting out of bed. Be kind to one another and encourage one another and never give up or guve in. You will find a way to push through, even if its slow. You got this.
