The other day, a friend gave me a compliment that probably meant more to me than he realized. He said, “you’re just incredible at being yourself,” in a world where most people find that difficult. And I agree, I think a lot of people struggle with being themselves. Allowing others to see them for who they really are. You need to be confident with who are in order to allow others to see you for who you really are.
I’m confident in who I am and the fact that I’m not perfect. I know I’m flawed and I’m aware of what most of them are. I own up to my mistakes and I admit to my wrong doings. I know I often feel too much, but am capable of feeling nothing at all too. But, I also know what I bring to the table and what I’m capable of, and what I have to give. I know my hearts always in the right place with everything I do. My intentions are always pure.
I believe if you’re being the best you that you can be, and a genuinely good person.
You have no reason not to be confident in who you are. So why try to be anything else?
People catch onto that shit. I’ve met too many people in person who are completely different from who they portray to be online. It’s disappointing. The best compliments I get from someone when I meet them, is telling me I’m exactly the same in person as I am online. This is who I am. I don’t care if you think “I’m hot”. I don’t. And I couldn’t be fake even if I tried. It’s not in me. Character means so much more to me.
So I ask you to think about just how much of your real self, are you really letting people see...
